BUDDING bards in fancy-dress expressed their affection for under-threat parkland at Knowle with a poetic picnic on Sunday.

Costumes ranged from a pint-sized Batman and Robin to Jane Austen, John Betjeman, Pete Seeger, and a 19th century Blues Brother.
