POLICE have launched a Facebook campaign to raise awareness of domestic abuse among young people in relationships.
It is hoped the ‘Is this love?’ campaign will reach young people and help them understand what is acceptable in a relationship and what is not.
Devon and Cornwall police hope the bid will raise awareness of this issue and encourage discussion about it in the run up to Valentines Day.
The force says domestic abuse in teenage relationships is “surprisingly common.”
Detective Superintendent John Clements said: “The Facebook campaign will enable us to reach a young audience in a way they are familiar with.”
