A father and son duo are exhibiting together for the first time bringing together their love of the coast and the ocean.

Dive journalist Mark Taylor Hutchinson has spent decades diving the depths of the world’s oceans and getting up close to sharks.

A passionate supporter of the creature, he has begun capturing his global assignments on the canvas and has created painted and photographic prints of sharks and seabirds.

He will be displaying prints of his latest shark paintings inspired by his recent assignments diving with great white sharks in Isla Guadalupe, greater hammerhead, bull and tiger sharks in the Bahamas and ragged tooth sharks in South Africa.

His father George Hutchinson is well known for his vivid abstract coastal scenes of the surrounding area.

Mark said: “It is quite nice, we have never done it before.”

They will be joined by fellow artist Favell Bevan-Arti who will showcase her pastel works of local coastal scenes.

The Living Sea and Shore exhibition will run at Kennaway House from Monday, September 25, until October 1.
