STUDENTS at The King's School are looking to entertain Ottery's pensioners and keep a long-running festive tradition alive.

A-level pupils from the school are looking for around 30 pensioners to attend its annual OAP's Christmas Party on December 16 after the responsibility of organising the event was bestowed upon them.

Previously organised by former Sixth Form Head Crosby Chacksfield, year 13 leisure studies students Chloe Campbell, Sam Ng and Mercedes Pemberton-Finch have now been challenged to keep the tradition going for a piece of coursework.

The free of charge afternoon of entertainment will run from 1pm to 3pm in the school's Sixth Form Centre. Traditionally OAP's are welcomed with Christmas themed refreshments and treated to live entertainment such as dancing, the school choir, band and solo guitarist performances as well as bingo and quizzes.

Anybody interested in attending can contact Mrs Miller at The King's School on (01404) 812982.
