Judges impressed with Tracy’s use of lighting and backdrops for Sidmouth store’s Christmas windows
WINNER of this year’s best dressed large Christmas window in Sidmouth is Fields of Sidmouth department store.
A technical hitch meant our photograph was omitted from last week’s report of the event, so this week we redress the situation with Sylvia Brownlee’s picture of Fields’ window dresser Tracy Symonds and its promotions and marketing manger Claire Jenkins, receiving the glass trophy and a bottle of champagne for winning their category, from judges (l-r): town council chairman, Councillor Stuart Hughes, Chamber of Commerce president Derek Parry, and Di Bowerman, news editor of the Sidmouth Herald.
The Herald and Chamber of Commerce joined forces to revive the contest and this year 15 businesses entered the competition.
It takes Tracy two weeks to dress the store’s 12 windows.
