CRIME prevention techniques were the subject of a talk to Fields of Sidmouth staff this week. PCSO Jay Pepper outlined how shop lifters operate when they are combing a store and what type of behaviour to watch out for. She also advised staff on what powers they have if they believe someone is shop lifting. PCSO Pepper said: "Brian Dowie, the manager of the store, was very pleased with the content of the talk and will be including the information in the staff induction manual in future.
