Firefighters from Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary were called to the East Devon District Council site at Knowle today (Tuesday) after they received reports of a fire in the offices.
The two crews arrived shortly after 1pm, and confirmed there was a small fire involving a light fitting.
A spokesman for Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service said: “The fire was out on arrival, crews checked the area with a thermal imaging camera and small tools.”
