Firefighters from Sidmouth were called to support paramedics after a 95-year-old man collapsed behind a bathroom door yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
The ambulance team was unable to access the ground floor room so the fire crews removed the window at the Newlands Close property.
The bathroom and front doors were opened and the paramedics were able to treat the man. The callout came at 3.45pm.
