ORGANISED firework displays are safer than back garden events says Phil Martin, community safety manager with Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service.
He urges people to attend local bonfire night displays and adds: “The majority of accidents happened at private parties. If you do hold your own, make sure you follow the firework code, which can be found on our website.”
