FAIRGROUND fun is back in Ottery after the flood-hit family company behind the tradition decided to return.
Rides and equipment have been up anf runnin at the Millennium Green all weekend, and ready to join in Tar Barrel fun on Thursday- just weeks after owners said there was "apprehension" about an Ottery return following last year's flooding heart-ache.
Anderton and Rowlands partner Rowland De Vey, who has been involved in bringing the fair to Ottery for a quarter of a century, said an encouraging weather forecast had banished any doubts.
He said: "There is a bit of rain but nothing to worry about.
"The Millennium Green is a lovely location with a wonderful atmosphere opposite the bonfire. Last year was a freak storm, we are happy to be back in business here.
