TIPTON St John's Tennis Club, badly hit by last October's floods, is finding its feet again, thanks to generous funding and community support.
Tipton St John Tennis Club had its courts wrecked when the nearby River Otter burst its banks last year.
Generous grants from local Rotarians, Devon Community Foundation, East Devon District Council and Ottery St Mary Town Council have enabled repairs to the courts and play will resume by the end of April.
Club members and Tipton residents organised work parties to get repairs underway.
Club chairman Phil Spencer said: "The reaction from the community in Tipton St John has been immense.
"We've had local tradesmen offering their skills and people of all ages pitching in with help. The community has really pulled together and we can't thank them enough.

"The Rotary Club, Devon Grassroots and the local councils have also been superb with their funding and it's thanks to these organisations that we are now looking towards a fabulous summer of tennis once more."
Keen to attract new members, anyone joining before April 20 will have subscriptions frozen at last year's prices.
The club has a thriving social tennis scene, junior tennis, coaching sessions and a number of teams that enter the Exeter and District Tennis League.
