Flooding in Sidmouth prompts warnings

Drivers are being warned to be careful in Sidmouth after today’s downpour which has caused flooding in the town.

According to reports Sidford Road has been left partially flooded near Sidford Cross.

Drivers are also being asked to pass the Spar on Temple Street with care to avoid creating bow waves from the large puddles of water that soak unsuspecting, passing pedestrians.

According to weather reports heavy rain is expected to go on until 8pm and until then people have been asked to drive carefully in the poor travelling conditions.
