THE annual folk festival service took place in the Connaught Gardens and was attended by several hundred people.
Visitors and residents joined in many happy songs and worship in the service led by Reverend David Brown, Sidmouth's Anglican Curate.
The diocesan youth worker Martin Thompson gave two talks, illustrated by young people acting out parts, and the singers and musicians were led by Dr. Peter Fung.
Members of Sidmouth Rotary Club were present with a demonstration stall of Shelterbox disaster relief equipment, and raised £627 for the Shelterbox charity.
