A former Air Training Corps (ATC) centre in Sidmouth has been sold for £38,000.

The 2019 Sidmouth Squadron was based in the Manstone Lane until 2011, before moving to its new centre off Stowford Rise.

Scott Gray, OF Clive Emson Auctioneers, said: “This unusual property attracted some keen interest prior to auction.

“As well as curiosity value, it drew some strong bidding due to its potential to wide variety of parties, including those from commercial and residential development backgrounds.

“The new owner now has the opportunity to breathe life into this well known site subject to the necessary consents.”
