Runners have once again gone the distance in this year’s Four Trigs challenge raising more than £1,500 for a leading heart charity.
To date, the grueling 16 mile race has netted £5,409 for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) over the last four years.
There were 104 runners taking part in the race which started from the Port Royal Club on February 11.
Organisers Marion and Robert Hayman have donated the proceeds to the charity in memory of their son Jonathan, who died from a heart attack in 2013 at the age of 27.
Marion said she was delighted by the amount raised and thanked everyone for their support on the day.
She added: “Without our amazing team of Marshalls and helpers and the support of the community we would not be able to hold this event. The competitors also ran in the spirit of the race.”
The couple also thanked sponsors Hayman’s Butchers and Winchester’s Fruit and Vegetables.
