Dementia care expert offers information and advice at free event at Kennaway House
Making everyday life easier for people with dementia and their carers is the subject of a special awareness session taking place at Kennaway House on Monday, July 9.
David Barenskie, who is the head of dementia care at the Green Tree Court nursing home in Exeter, will be giving information and advice on what it is like to live with dementia, and what can be done to help someone with the condition to carry on with their day-to-day activities for as long as possible.
Those attending will also have the chance to become a Dementia Friend, and find out more about how person-centred dementia care can improve and enhance people’s lives.
The event is free of charge and starts at 2pm. It will last about one and a half hours, and tea and coffee will be served during the afternoon. Contact Nikki at Kennaway House on 01395 515551 for more information or to book a free place.
