Big Lunch gathering at Sidmouth’s Ham field
SIDMOUTH residents are planning to converge on The Ham field for a free Big Lunch next Sunday.
Promoted by the Vision Group for Sidmouth, the ethos behind the event on Sunday, July 18, is to bring together residents, friends and pets of all ages for a chance to eat, drink, talk and play together from 12.30pm.
There will be no electronic music, speeches, buying, selling, fundraising, campaigning, barbecues or litter. People are asked to bring a picnic to share.
The Ham playing field was presented to the people of Sidmouth for their recreation by John George Galloway Radford on March 26, 1896.
