Friends Sidford fashion success for Campaign 2010
TWO friends have raised �1,050 at an Off the Peg fashion show in Sidford and pushed the Campaign 2010 mini-bus fund to the �20,000 mark.
TWO friends have raised �1,050 at an Off the Peg fashion show in Sidford and pushed the Campaign 2010 mini-bus fund to the �20,000 mark.
Lynn Horrell from Peaslands and Lisa Craig from Salters Meadow, held the fashion show at Sidford Social Hall on Friday, and, said Bill Lankester of Sidmouth Living With Cancer Support Group, "It went very well."
Six models displayed a range of women's clothes at the well-supported event.
On Thursday the club held its Bar B Que night and Tim and Sharon from Temple Street butchers T and S Symons, donated all the meat, allowing the evening to raise �107 for the campaign to raise �35,000 for a mini-bus for the cancer support group.

Today, Friday, Colin and Shirley Ratcliffe will hold a Beetle Drive at St John Hall, Blackmore Drive, at 2.30pm. Entry is �3 to include a delicious cream tea and you could win the star prize.
Tomorrow (Saturday), Pat Cannings and Jean Kingdon are holding a Victorian Tea at Lymebourne Community Hall, offering the taste of real tea.
