The Manor Pavilion Theatre hosted two nights of the children and youth dance school’s annual show on March 22 and 23. The show, titled ‘Funkifeet - Go To The Movies’, featured 98 local boys and girls, 174 French plaits, 24 sets of sparkling costumes and songs ranging from the Backstreet Boys and Skyfall through to My Little Pony.
Annalie Dainton, proud mum of Max, who was in the show, summed up the spectacular event, stating: ‘Another epic show from the Funkifeet team. “From the brilliant and flawless opening number that took your breath away, to all the sweet, funny, heartfelt, sassy, emotive and funky performances...every single child and young adult shone...some stumbled and shone further, some loved the attention and relished the lights. “Some, not so much...but somehow Emma Wilson and her team always manage to bring out the very best in all. Funkifeet crew we salute you.”
As the kids left the theatre on the final night, their talk was about what performances they could do for next year’s show. They had better start rehearsals soon if they want to match this year’s amazing performance.
