HERALD readers have been voicing their dismay at the news Sidmouth Garden Centre's farm shop must close within two years.Letters have been flooding into the Herald's office in support of garden centre owner Ian Barlow who has been served an enforcement notice to stop the use of the farm shop because it breaches the planning permission for the extension in which it is housed. How ever, Mr Barlow says advice from a council officer led him to believe that he could lease part of the £250k extension. He must now decide if he will appeal against the district council's decision or break the seven year contract he signed with Riverford Organic Farm Shop - both costly options.Have your say in our online poll on this website or email the editor emma.silverthorne@archant.co.uk.See Friday's Herald for the latest on the garden centre's predicament and for readers' views.
