It was pedal to the metal as Applewood pre-schoolers got on their bikes and scooters to raise money for an outdoor area to learn and play in.

The sponsored wheel event, which is held annually, was held last Saturday and challenged the children to complete a playground course as many times as they could in 30 minutes.
