GOING Bananas they may have done, but there was no monkeying around at Sidmouth Infants on Friday.
GOING Bananas they may have done, but there was no monkeying around at Sidmouth Infants on Friday.
Pupils dressed up in banana-coloured clothes to mark the end of Fairtrade Fortnight, and each of the 112 there received a banana a break-time, supplied by Waitrose.
Administrator Sarah Andrews said: "The children have been learning about fair trade in other countries, which we like to support."
Purely a fun event, with no fundraising involved, some staff joined in by dressing in yellow, and there were definitely no gorillas to be seen.
Today (Friday) children will pay to dress up "in a funny way" to raise money for Red Nose Day.
