Childhood sweethearts Eddie and Sue Baker, of Fortescue Road, said the key to a long and happy marriage was ‘tolerating each other, not having many family arguments and give and take’.

The pair, who said their vows at All Saints Church on October 6, 1966, have two children and four grandchildren.

Eddie, 73, and Sue, 70, plan to celebrate the milestone anniversary with a family meal and a get-together at their home with friends and neighbours.
