THE Government's refusal to launch a badger cull has been criticised by MP Hugo Swire.Speaking at a rally at parliament attended by National Farmers' Union members, Mr Swire said: "This inept policy is undermining our cattle farmers, particularly small family livestock farmers in the Westcountry."The Government has been dithering over bovine TB for 10 years, the number of infected cattle slaughtered every year has risen seven-fold. The problem is projected to cost the taxpayer £300 million.
