AN environmentally friendly bid to install renewable energy panels to a landmark Ottery St Mary building has been given the go-ahead.

AN environmentally friendly bid to install renewable energy panels to a landmark Ottery St Mary building has been given the go-ahead.

Photovoltaic panels, which help reduce carbon emissions, can be installed on the roof of Chanters House say East Devon District Council planners.

The owner of the building made the request in a bid to reduce the running costs of the house
