Families are invited to join the Halloween Hedge Party at Bicton College on Friday 31st October.
The free party is part of Devon Hedge Week promoted by the Devon Hedge Group, Devon County Council and the Devon Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group and includes a variety of events for all ages but is designed particularly for families.
Countryside lecturer, Jamie Moxey said "The day will have a Halloween flavour and weather permitting, we will be running a haystack making activity, mask making, apple picking and juice making and we'll be decorating a hedge! We hope children will bring along a pumpkin or turnip lantern and we will give prizes for all those that make the effort. We will be making some small camp fires should anyone wish to bring some marshmallows or sausages to cook."
The Halloween Hedge Day runs from 10am to 3pm and children must be accompanied by an adult. Those coming on the day are advised to wear old all weather clothing, boots and gloves and bring a picnic or food to cook.
