Campaigners who reopened Harpford Hall have been given a £3,000 boost by its previous guardians.
Derek Simmonds explained that the cash represented the remaining funds of the old committee, which had already contributed £5,000 towards the purchase of the property.
Val Ranger, the new committee’s chairman, thanked Derek and his colleagues for the donations and their efforts – and said that without them, there would not have been a hall worth buying.
The venue sat empty for three years until it reopened in December.
