Devastated Florence Judge, four, took her rag toy with her to Route 303 diner on Saturday (July 29) - only to discover she had lost it the following day.

The mother of a heartbroken little girl from Sidford who lost her cherished cuddly toy at a Honiton restaurant is asking customers to keep their eyes peeled for it.

Devastated Florence Judge, four, took her rag toy with her to Route 303 diner on Saturday (July 29) - only to discover she had lost it the following day.

The youngster, who will be starting at Sidbury Primary School in September, is ‘doing okay’ but is still ‘very upset’, said mum Tracy.

“Florence has had her toy since she was a baby,” she said. “It comforts her when she upset, it is the one thing she wants.

“She is okay at the moment but asking for it a lot and gets upset when I tell her that it is lost.

“I am trying to break it to her that she might not see it again, and have told her I am doing everything I can and trying my best to find it.”

Florence had her photo taken at their diner with her toy, and went straight to sleep when she returned home.

It was only when she woke up the following morning that she realised the toy was nowhere to be seen.

Tracy added: “The staff at the restaurant have looked for it but had no luck.

“We hope someone picked it up - anyone who may have, or spots it, please let us know so we can get it back.”

Anyone who has the toy or finds it can email callum.lawton@archant.co.uk and your details will be passed to the Judge family.
