Help Scheme calls for ideas

AFTER a bumper spring of fundraising activity, Ottery and District Help Scheme is appealing for innovative ideas to keep the cash coming in.

It has raised £7,000 in the six months since CAMPAIGN 2010 was launched through events such as a parachute jump, London Marathon entry and a spring draw, which alone netted £1,000. But the charity needs to bring in £7,000 a year to survive, so fundraising is an ongoing process. Assistant co-ordinator Helen Ross said: “If anyone’s got any ideas, they can contact us.”

If you have any ideas, call (01404) 816700. The Help Scheme has been named the Mayor’s Charity of the Year.
