AFTER a bumper spring of fundraising activity, Ottery and District Help Scheme is appealing for innovative ideas to keep the cash coming in.

It has raised 7,000 in the six months since CAMPAIGN 2010 was launched through events such as a parachute jump, London Marathon entry and a spring draw, which alone netted 1,000. But the charity needs to bring in 7,000 a year to survive, so fundraising is an ongoing process. Assistant co-ordinator Helen Ross said: “If anyone’s got any ideas, they can contact us.”

If you have any ideas, call (01404) 816700. The Help Scheme has been named the Mayor’s Charity of the Year.
