An army of volunteers is needed once again to pick up collection tins at this year’s Red Arrows display.

At least 100 people will be needed for the collection on Friday, August 24 – ahead of the big event which will see the RAF’s elite aerobatic pilots zoom through the skies, delighting Sidmouth crowds.

The event saw a record 35,000 people pack into the town last year with generous visitors raising £14,500 of the £15,000 needed to bring the team back for 2018.

Organisers are urging people to come forward and help
collect as much as possible on the day to go towards next year’s event.

Sidmouth Regatta’s Oliver Salter, who is organising the collection, said: “This event can only continue if enough is collected in donations.

“With this in mind, we wondered if your organisation would be able to help by providing some collectors; the more the merrier.”

If you would like to volunteer, contact Oliver on 01395 515820 for more information.
