High Street collision: police say driver ‘blinded by sun’

A driver was blinded by the sun when a car collided with a lorry in Sidmouth this morning (Wednesday), police have said.

No one was injured in the incident, which involved a silver Ford Focus and a supermarket lorry in High Street at 10.10am and the road remained open.
PCSO Jack Stannard tweeted that the driver was blinded by the low sun.
He said there had been a lot of other reports of accidents caused icy roads by the low, bright sun across East Devon.
