HOLLYWOOD A-lister Nicolas Cage seemingly picked Sidmouth for a stop-over as he enjoyed a Jurassic Coast holiday this week – but residents were none the wiser.
Bosses and staff at a town hotel - at which the Herald understands the actor was staying - remained tight-lipped over the matter to honour confidentiality of their guests.
And Sidmouth folk weren’t as lucky as beach-goers in Lyme Regis who had a surprise Face-Off with Mr Cage on Monday.
The star of smash-hits such as The Rock, National Treasure, Leaving Las Vegas and Gone in 60 Seconds enjoyed a meal at the resort and was happy to stick around and pose for pictures.
Onlookers said Mr Cage was celebrating his wedding anniversary.
