THE Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital hosts its annual open day on Saturday, June 6, on the theme The Community and Us.
From 11am to 4pm, the event gives people the chance to meet frontline hospital staff and gain advice on careers and training.
Tours of the pathology laboratory will take place for the first time and there will be screening of a film made by local students about the consequences of knife crime, which the RD&E took part in.
The open day coincides with National Volunteering Week and staff wants to hear from anyone interested in helping the hospital.
ELF, Hospiscare, Devon Air Ambulance, St John's Ambulance and FORCE are charitable partners involved in the day.
Youngsters will have the chance to win prizes in a treasure trail on the Wonford hospital site.
