MEMBERS of a Sidmouth slimming group have put their weight behind its consultant to win her a bronze award for helping them lose more than 66 stones between them.
MEMBERS of a Sidmouth slimming group have put their weight behind its consultant to win her a bronze award for helping them lose more than 66 stones between them.The two Wednesday Slimming World groups, held at the St John Ambulance Hall, are run by Katrina Barker.By helping members lose more than 930 pounds, Katrina's groups make Sidmouth one of the best weight-loss areas in the country.Mrs Barker said: "This job is very special. Watching someone change from shapeless clothes to someone who looks and feels great brings its own rewards on a daily basis. "To have your work recognised in this way is a very proud moment for me."She will receive the award at the group's district meeting later this month and said: "We are now aiming for silver, and hopefully one day gold. That is a huge thing to achieve, but I won't say it will never happen.
