Campaigners seeking independence for West Hill handed a petition - signed by 392 people - to the district council this week.

Members of the West Hill Parish Campaign Group (WHPCG) want the village, currently a ward of Ottery, to form an independent parish council to better represent residents.

Members of the group handed their petition into EDDC chief executive Mark Williams on Wednesday and a formal consultation process will now begin.
