An illustrated talk in Sidmouth will look at life either side of the Berlin Wall in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Steve Sullivan lived in the affluent western part of the city, where he taught English as a foreign language. He often visited the eastern sector, then part of the communist-run German Democratic Republic, where life was lived in stark contrast to the riches of the west.
The talk will take place on Sunday (October 2) from 2.30pm to 4pm at the Unitarian Church, Leigh-Browne Room, Sidmouth. All are welcome.
Free entry.
