COMMUNITY MARKET: The next Sustainable Ottery market takes place on Saturday, June 30, in The Institute, from 9.30am to 12.30pm. There are a host of stalls selling locally grown fruit and vegetables, flowers, chutneys and cakes. There are also craft items, a plant sale, and refreshments are available courtesy of the WI ladies.

IRON-MAN: Ottery New Life Church is holding its annual ‘Iron-Man’ event in Alfington this weekend. The event, which consists of a gruelling swim-run-cycle-run-swim is a hotly contested affair. There is also a junior version for children aged seven to 11 years old, consisting of a run-swim-run, at the race on Sunday, June 24.
