A FASHION show and sale with a tasty twist will take place at Branscombe Village Hall on Wednesday, September 29. The Just Jackets show in aid of Sidmouth Hospice and Devon Air Ambulance has been a complete sell-out.

Organiser Kate Norbury is having to turn down people who wanted to come to the show and enjoy the jacket potato lunch.

As jackets were the best seller at last year’s event, which raised 2,000, they were picked as the focus for this year.

And as there are more than 100 jackets new and nearly new, including designer one-offs and labels such as Country Casuals, and Jaeger, for sale in sizes 8-18 and at prices from 5 to 25, Kate has decided to open it to the public after lunch. So the hall will be open after 2pm for those who couldn’t get tickets.

The shows started a few years ago when all the organisations in the village were asked to raise money for the village hall roof fund. Last year while the work on the hall was being done it was held at Edge Barton Manor.
