She and Pete will present an afternoon of happy, foot-tapping jazz
Jazzman Pete Allen welcomes award-winning singer Val Wiseman to his next concert at the Music Room at Sidholme Hotel .
Val has been voted Best British Vocalist twice at the British Jazz Awards and she has worked with the likes of Alex Welsh, Humphrey Lyttleton, Monty Sunshine and Kenny Baker, featuring in their tours and broadcasts.
This led to a starring role in a new Billie Holiday tribute, Lady Sings the Blues. It won critical acclaim, resulting in television and concert appearances worldwide. Val still tours with that and other musical shows, as well as presenting lively, illustrated talks such as The Joys of Jazz Singing.
She and Pete Allen’s Hot Four band will present an afternoon of happy, foot-tapping traditional jazz, both instrumentals and well-known songs, in a slick, fast-moving show.
