A FAMILY-run Ottery charity hopes that an evening of Jazz later this month can boost its bid to raise cash for disadvantaged children in Peru.
The Colour of Hope charity will host the City Steam Jazz Band on November 14 from 7.30pm to 10pm at the Football Club.
The charity was founded by Ottery girl Amy New, 25, who visited Peru when she was 17 and worked in Lima setting up a home for street children.
After university Amy returned to Peru, where she has been for the last two years and remains today.
Amy's mum, event organiser Margaret Stevens said: "This is a local band playing for a local charity and hopefully we can get local bums on seats."
Tickets are £5. Call Mrs Steven on (01404) 814867 for information.
