Fundraising performers are inviting residents to celebrate like Scots as they mark Burn’s Night in Branscombe next month.
Sid Vale Community Productions (SVCP) is joining forces with Otter Border Morris for dance and original all action comedy sketches by Barry Morton followed by a Ceilidh hosted by Mischief & Mayhem.
The group’s two previous Burn’s Nights in the village have been met with great enthusiasm. Traditional elements include the Selkirk Grace, address to the haggis and a piper in full regalia.
SVCP is organising the event in the village hall on Saturday, January 28, to fund grants it provides to artists of all genres to help them get established and to encourage creativity and originality.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets (£18) are available in advance from Gill Smith on 01395 516529 or Ruth Lewis on 07976 251929 or ruthlewis11@gmail.com.
