THE King's School is celebrating a fantastic fortnight of results today as this year's GCSE pupils have proved an equal success to last week's A level achievers.
Years of hard work and a tense summer of waiting were rewarded as 74 per cent of grades achieved were at A* to C level, with almost a quarter of marks at A* or A standard. Nearly a fifth of students bagged five or more A grades.
Chair of Governors Robin Mitchell said: "These results don't just happen by accident, they are brought about by careful planning and very hard work, we offer thanks and congratulations all round."
