Just jackets is just the ticket

A FASHION show and sale with a tasty twist will take place at Branscombe Village Hall on Wednesday, September 29.

Just Jackets has been arranged by Branscombe Ladies following the success of last year’s show, which raised £2,000. The best sellers were jackets so they will be the focus. There will be jackets for all seasons, new and nearly new, including designer one-offs and labels such as Country Casuals, and Jaeger, in sizes 8-20, ranging from £5 to £25. Other items will also be available. Keeping to the theme, a lunch of jacket potatoes and wine will be included in the £12 ticket price. All proceeds to local charities including Sidmouth Hospice and Devon Air Ambulance.

The shows started a few years ago when all the organisations in the village were asked to raise money for the village hall roof fund. Last year while the work on the hall was being done it was held at Edge Barton Manor.

Organiser Kate Norbury said: “Have a lovely lunch and come away with a real bargain.”

Doors open 12pm for 12.30pm. Tickets are selling like hot potatoes, so to book call Kate on 01395 514767 or email katenorbury@btinternet.com.
