DROPPING a kerb to alter access to a house in Winslade Road, has been supported by Sidmouth Town Council s planning committee.

DROPPING a kerb to alter access to a house in Winslade Road, has been supported by Sidmouth Town Council's planning committee.

Last Wednesday councillors agreed Mr M Stevens should be allowed to lower the kerb, although Councillor Tony Reed thought it more a matter for County Highways than the town council.

"You'd have thought the planning system could find other ways to fill its time," remarked planning chairman Councillor Ian McKenzie-Edwards, who added: "It is a reasonable thing and will benefit the springs of his car.
