FORMER pupils of The King's School, who are attending a reunion in September, are having trouble finding accommodation in Ottery.

More than 50 people so far have accepted their invitation for the 'Class of 79' reunion on September 19 at Ottery Football Club, but unfortunately it seems there are 'No Vacancies' in the town on that night.

The Tumbling Weir is hosting a wedding and is fully booked and at least three bed and breakfasts are not accepting bookings.

Many people are instead looking further afield to Sidmouth and the surrounding areas for accommodation.

Phyllis Baxter, Ottery's TIC manager, says the reunion will be a welcome boost to the town.

She added: "I think its great news. It's nice to have a big reunion and it will be good for the two pubs as well as promoting the football club, which runs a lot of events.
