Last chance to nominate Sidmouth Citizen of Year

PUBLISHED: 15:58 26 January 2011

Send in your nominations by February 4 for Sidmouth Rotary’s Citizen of the Year 2010

WHAT more perfect way to thank someone you feel has made a real difference to life in Sidmouth than by nominating them for the title Citizen of the Year 2010?

This week is your last chance to send in nominations for the award, jointly run by Sidmouth Rotary Club and the Sidmouth Herald.

Previous winners have included Graham Vincent, chairman of Sidmouth Hospital Comforts Fund and Betty Easey for her unstinting work raising money through coffee mornings.

People should nominate whoever they believe is a worthy candidate and deserving of recognition.

The competition has been running since 1985 and is a chance to bring recognition to the town’s unsung heroes.

It is open to anyone who has made a significant contribution to life around Sidmouth.

Readers have until Friday, February 4, to get their nominations in.

These can be made using the form printed in Friday’s Sidmouth Herald. Photocopied forms will not be accepted.

Once completed they can be sent in envelopes marked Citizen of the Year to: Sidmouth Herald, Archant, Fair Oak Close, Exeter Airport Business Park, Clyst Honiton, Exeter EX5 2UL.

Alternatively they can be dropped into the Co-Op store, Sidmouth High Street or Kennaway House, Coburg Road.
