WHY go all the way to the Royal Albert Hall for the Proms when Sidmouth has its own version?
WHY go all the way to the Royal Albert Hall for the Proms when Sidmouth has its own version?
This year's Last Night of the Proms with Sidmouth Town Band takes place in Connaught Gardens from 7.30pm on Saturday, August 16.
Guest soloist will be Val Howels and compère for the evening of fun is BBC radio personality Douglas Mounce.
Part of the charm of the event is the pre-performance picnic - last year held in pouring rain, which did nothing to dampen promenaders' spirit.
Gardens open from 6.30pm so remember your picnic hamper, tables, chairs, blankets and flags.
Tickets are £5, available from Sidmouth Tourist Information Centre or band members.
