THE blaze that ripped through Sidmouth’s Fortfield Hotel was more than likely caused by “people who should not have been there”- say fire and rescue chiefs.
“There is no electric or other supplies into the hotel. At this time it is reasonable to assume this is an accidental or deliberate act- by people who should not have been there,” said Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service group manager Adge Tilke.
