Campaigning Sidmouth Living With Cancer group publishes information leaflet
WITH the profile of Sidmouth Living With Cancer Support Group growing, its co-ordinators, Bill and Evelyn Lankester, have produced a glossy leaflet to explain what the group is about, its aims, activities and outings and its Campaign 2010 appeal through the Sidmouth Herald.
The leaflet will be available locally and will be distributed by the Rotary Club of Sidmouth to those who take up the challenge to raise funds for SLWC by taking part in this year’s Rotary Swimathon. (See page 23).
Bill and Evelyn were among those who founded the group in 2001 and since then the group’s membership has rapidly expanded.
“Our aim is to help and encourage new sufferers and their carers to be positive, introducing them to others so that they can enjoy the comradeship and share knowledge to help themselves,” says the leaflet.
